Acknowledgements
We gratefully acknowledge the support of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Director's Discretionary Fund (courtesy of Center Director Alfonzo Diaz, administered by the late Dr. Gerald A. Soffen). The DTAM project grew out of early work by Paul Lowman (Code 921) on global tectonics and we are indebted to his vision. Jacob Yates (Code 921) has continued the work in integrating global tectonic data into a Geographical Information System (GIS) known as the DTAM. Additional Co-Investigators that made signifigant contriubtions to the global tectonic datasets are Brian Montgomery (Code 923) and Penny Masuoka (Code 922). We also would like to recognize Jay O'Leary (Code 293) for his expertise in the graphical renderings of the DTAM. Additional participation came from Demetra Salisbury, a research associate of the 1997 NASA Academy.
