The DTAM project grew out of early work by Paul Lowman (Code 921) on global tectonics and we are indebted to his vision. Jacob Yates (Code 921) has continued the work in integrating global tectonic data into a Geographical Information System (GIS) known as the DTAM. Additional Co-Investigators that made signifigant contriubtions to the global tectonic datasets are Brian Montgomery (Code 923) and Penny Masuoka (Code 922).
